About me
Who is a doctor without his/her patient, and what is the executive board of GIILO without a patient advocate? My experience as a patient began in 2019 when I was diagnosed with ILO by Dr. Tod Olin. Since then, I’ve been able to successfully prevent and treat my own ILO attacks. As a graduate student of speech pathology, I have been able to bring awareness of ILO to my program, attend the 5th International ILO Conference in Denver, and maintain contact with thousands of other VCD/ILO patients. I will give my insight to the patient perspective in diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and awareness. I can share my understanding of patient experiences and connect this organization directly to the people it is designed to support. While I may not have multiple degrees or years of research and practice, I have a deep passion for the purpose of GIILO, and am committed to supporting the research and awareness of ILO.
